1Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Meri Paathshala, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old (or have parental/guardian consent), that you have read and understood these Terms, and that you agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, you must not use the platform.

These Terms apply to all users of the platform, including institute administrators, teachers, students, and parents.

2Description of Service

Meri Paathshala provides a cloud-based institute management platform that includes, but is not limited to:

• Student enrolment and profile management
• Attendance tracking and reporting
• Fee management and payment tracking
• Parent-teacher communication tools
• Performance analytics and dashboards
• Test creation, administration, and result tracking
• Live class hosting and study material distribution

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature with reasonable notice. We will endeavour to provide 14 days' advance notice for significant changes.

3Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Ensuring all users added to your institute account comply with these Terms
• Promptly notifying us of any unauthorised access at contact@meripaathshala.com

You must not share login credentials or allow multiple individuals to use the same account. Each user should have their own login.

4Acceptable Use

You agree to use Meri Paathshala only for lawful educational and administrative purposes. You must not:

• Upload or distribute malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or other user accounts
• Use the platform to send spam, unsolicited communications, or bulk messages unrelated to institute operations
• Harvest, scrape, or collect data from other users without consent
• Resell, sublicence, or commercially exploit the platform without written permission
• Violate any applicable local, national, or international law

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules immediately and without prior notice.

5Payment & Billing

Access to Meri Paathshala requires a paid subscription. By subscribing, you agree to:

• Pay all fees associated with your chosen plan on the agreed billing cycle
• Provide accurate and complete billing information
• Notify us promptly of any billing disputes within 30 days of the charge

All fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law or as expressly stated in a written agreement. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' written notice. Failure to pay may result in suspension or termination of access without further notice.

6Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the Meri Paathshala platform — including the software, design, user interface, branding, and content created by us — are owned exclusively by Meri Paathshala or its licensors.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the platform solely for your institute's internal educational and administrative purposes. This licence does not permit you to copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works based on our platform.

7Data Ownership

You retain full ownership of all data you input into the platform, including student records, academic data, and communications. By using the platform, you grant us a limited licence to process this data solely to provide and improve our services.

We act as a data processor on your behalf. You, as the institute, are the data controller responsible for ensuring lawful collection and use of student and parent data in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

8Disclaimer of Warranties

The platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses. We disclaim all warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement to the fullest extent permitted by law.

9Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Meri Paathshala shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the platform.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising under or in connection with these Terms shall not exceed the total fees paid by you in the three months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

10Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement by providing 30 days' written notice. We may terminate your access immediately and without notice if:

• You materially breach these Terms
• You fail to pay fees when due after reasonable notice
• We determine, in our sole discretion, that continued access poses a risk to other users or the platform

Upon termination, your access to the platform will be revoked. Your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and retained for up to 90 days to allow you to export it before permanent deletion.

11Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India. Both parties agree to first attempt to resolve disputes through good-faith negotiation before initiating legal proceedings.

12Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via email or an in-platform notice at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the platform after the effective date of the revised Terms constitutes your acceptance.
